Text-Message Terms of Service
These terms describe how text-message communication works between you and Veltrix Appliance Repair LLC. They cover what we send, when we send it, how to opt out, and how to reach us with questions about SMS. This page is plain-language by design — there is nothing here we are trying to hide in fine print.
01 What these terms cover
These terms apply to text messages — also called SMS or MMS messages — sent or received between you and Veltrix Appliance Repair LLC ("Veltrix," "we," "us," or "our"). They apply to messages exchanged through our published business number, (682) 204-7314, and to any third-party service we use to send messages on our behalf.
These terms do not cover phone calls, voicemail, email, or any other channel. They do not replace our broader Terms of Service or our Privacy Policy, which continue to apply alongside this page.
02 How you opt in
You opt in to text-message communication with Veltrix in any of the following ways:
- By texting us first. When you send a text message to (682) 204-7314 — including by tapping a "Text us" link on this website — you are opting in to receive a text reply from us.
- By providing your mobile number when you book a service call. When you call, text, or otherwise contact us to request service and you give us a mobile number, you are opting in to text-message communication directly related to that service request.
- By replying to a text from us. If we contact you by text using a number you previously gave us, your reply confirms you are willing to communicate by text on that thread.
Opt-in is per-customer and per-purpose. Opting in for a service-call thread does not opt you in to anything else. Veltrix does not sell, share, or use your number for marketing campaigns to people outside an existing service relationship.
03 What we send you
The text messages we send fall into a small number of categories, all directly related to your service relationship with Veltrix:
- Service-call confirmations and reminders — confirming the appointment we scheduled, reminding you the day before or the morning of, and noting the appointment window.
- Technician dispatch updates — when the technician is en route, a brief message and a photo of the technician so you know who is approaching the door.
- Diagnostic and repair updates — what was found, what the recommended repair is, and what it will cost, when communication by text is more practical than a phone call.
- Invoices, receipts, and payment confirmations — when you ask us to send these by text rather than email.
- Post-service follow-up — a single follow-up message after the call asking whether the appliance is performing as expected, and inviting a review if you'd like to leave one.
- After-hours auto-replies — if you text us outside our service window (5:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. local time), our system may send an automatic acknowledgment so you know your message was received.
- Replies to your questions — direct responses to text messages you initiate.
What we don't send: mass marketing messages, promotional campaigns, sweepstakes, surveys unrelated to your service, or any text content not directly tied to your relationship with Veltrix.
04 Message frequency
Message frequency varies and depends on the service activity on your account. A typical service call generates between two and six messages from us — a confirmation, a day-before or day-of reminder, an "on the way" message with technician photo, optional updates during the visit, and a single follow-up after. If you have multiple appliances serviced or schedule a return visit, the count scales with the activity.
We do not send recurring promotional messages, scheduled marketing blasts, or any messages outside an active service context.
05 Message and data rates
Message and data rates may apply. Veltrix does not charge you for receiving or sending text messages. However, your wireless carrier may charge you for SMS or MMS messages depending on your mobile plan. Rates and applicable charges are set by your carrier — not by us. If you are unsure how your plan handles text messages, contact your carrier directly.
06 Opting out — STOP
To stop receiving text messages from Veltrix at any time, reply with the keyword STOP to any message we send you.
We will send a single confirmation message acknowledging your opt-out, after which you will not receive further texts from us. Other unsubscribe keywords carriers commonly recognize — END, CANCEL, UNSUBSCRIBE, QUIT — are also honored.
Opting out of text messages does not cancel your service appointment, your invoice, or any other obligation. It only stops the text-message channel. We will continue to reach you by phone or email as needed for the service relationship, and you are welcome to opt back in by texting us again at any time.
If you change your mobile number, please let us know so we can update our records. Otherwise, the new owner of your former number will receive any messages we send to it.
07 Getting help — HELP
Reply with the keyword HELP to any message we send you for a brief reply containing our business name, our contact information, and a reminder of how to opt out. You can also call us directly at (682) 204-7314 or email us at [email protected] with any questions about the text-message channel.
08 Supported carriers
Text messages from Veltrix are supported by all major U.S. wireless carriers, including AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon Wireless, Sprint, U.S. Cellular, and most regional carriers.
Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Message delivery depends on carrier networks and your device — neither of which we control. If a message we send you does not arrive, please call us at the number above and we will reach you another way.
09 Privacy and data handling
Your mobile number is treated as private contact information. We use it to communicate with you about your service, and we do not sell, rent, lend, or otherwise share it with marketers or third parties unrelated to delivering your service.
We do work with service providers to operate the text-message channel — for example, a voice and SMS platform that handles call routing and message sending, and a job-management platform that schedules service calls and sends appointment reminders. These providers receive only the information they need to do their job, and they are bound by their own contractual privacy obligations to us.

10 Changes to these terms
We may update these SMS terms from time to time as our practices evolve, as our service providers change, or as applicable laws change. The version on this page is the current one. The "Effective" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
For material changes — for example, a meaningful change in the kinds of messages we send — we will notify active customers by text or email before the change takes effect, and we will continue to honor any standing opt-out you have already given us.
